About
Founded in Dakar in 2010 by filmmaker Rama Thiaw and director of photography Amath Niane, Boul Falle Images supports filmmakers, trains technicians, and develops lasting circulation for African cinema.
Its vision privileges demanding African cinema shaped by political memory, music, bodies in motion, and documentary or hybrid forms able to circulate internationally.
Its mission is to produce singular films, transmit technical knowledge to younger generations, and strengthen a cultural and economic ecosystem for the arts and audiovisual industry in Africa.

Team
Rama Thiaw is a Mauritanian and Senegalese artist born in 1978 in Nouakchott. A writer, director, director of photography, editor, and producer since 2006, she is based in Dakar after growing up between Mauritania, Senegal, and Europe. After two short films, she directed her first feature documentary, Boul Falle, The Way of Wrestling, in 2009 and founded Boul Falle Images in 2010.
Her film The Revolution Won't Be Televised, produced by her company, premiered at the 2016 Berlinale where it won the major prize of the Forum section. She is currently preparing Zion Music, developing The Vanishing and Life in Spiral, and sustaining a practice of transmission through training, mentorship, and the curation of events such as the Artistic Sabbars of Dakar.
